NICE names ‘end of life care’ as one of its top priorities

The National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE) has announced ‘end of life care’ as one of its nine new quality standards to be developed during 2010-11.

These topics have been prioritised by the National Quality Board and referred to NICE by ministers. The NICE Quality Standards Programme Team develop quality standards in collaboration with Topic Expert Groups. The Quality Standards Programme Board will quality-assure and consistency-check the quality standards.
