Join Marie Curie for a Twilight Stroll

28 July 2011
Walkers across the country are being encouraged to take part in a 10k twilight walk this summer to help raise money for Dying Matters' coalition partner Marie Curie Cancer Care.

The 'Walk Ten' events, at various locations nationwide, will take place in August and September. The 20 walks will all finish at 10pm, the time Marie Curie nurses begin their shifts. Many of the walks will feature live music, refreshments and firework displays.

Marie Curie Nurses provide expert care and support to people with cancer and other terminal illnesses free of charge.Registration costs £10 but under-16s can take part for free. However, all participants are asked to commit to raise as much money as possible.
