The saddest story you'll read in a while

This is the saddest story, but one that is important as it speaks of the need to come to terms with death and how, if this doesn't happen, other lives can be destroyed. When Maria Lawson's older sister burned to death aged four, the family GP advised her mother to have another child. So Maria was born as a replacement for her dead sibling, but one who - in her mother's eyes - could never live up to the lost golden child, despite even being given the same name: http://www.guardian.co.uk/lifeandstyle/2012/feb/18/replacement-child-sis... Has something like this ever affected you or someone you know?
