The World Café is built on the assumption that people already have within them the wisdom and creativity to confront even the most difficult challenges; that the answers we need are available to us; and that we are Wiser Together than we are alone. This enables us to see new ways to make a difference in our lives and work.
The objective of the World Café is to discuss shared experiences and learn from others perspectives. From the experience we hope you will have healthy, important conversations, enjoy a hosted interactive experience, heighten your awareness and gain a rounded view.
You will be placed in a small group of 4-6 and presented with a series of thought-provoking conversation starters. You will have the opportunity to reflect on and discuss each question or statement with your group. The key elements of each conversation will be captured (anonymously) and distilled into a sentence. This sentence is passed onto the following group as a conversation starter and so forth.
World Café conversations are based on the principles and format developed by the World Café, a global movement to support conversations that matter in corporate, government, and community settings around the world. You can read more about their work here:
