St Barnabas Hospice Outreach Project
The Hospice Outreach Project vehicle parks in public locations across the hospice catchment in the Worthing, Adur, Arun and Henfield areas. During Dying Matters Week we will be parked in Littlehampton, Worthing General Hospital and Henfield village, but we will also be running the awareness campaign throughout the month of May, visiting many other locations. We have the Mayor of Worthing and town crier visiting to write on our ‘Before I die…’ board.
To encourage interaction, engagement and conversations around the subjects of death, dying and advance planning with the community during our Dying Matters month, we will have a ‘Before I die…’ blackboard for the public to write their aspirations for life, as well as an exercise called ‘Things left unsaid’.
Sometimes we are put in a position where our words remain forever unspoken.
Whatever you haven’t or didn’t say,
You can now say it here.
Write it on a luggage tag and tie it on our line.
We will also have a dedicated Dying Matters leaflet display posters, balloons and bunting.
