National conference – Diversity and inclusion in bereavement support
This conference is suitable for any professional involved in the provision of bereavement support to children, young people and families. Attending this conference will help professionals to build confidence and develop skills when communicating with and supporting grieving families.
About the day
The day will be chaired by Child Bereavement UK’s Founder Patron, and author of Grief Works, Julia Samuel MBE.
During the afternoon there will be an expert panel, with representatives from different faith groups, discussing bereavement practices and rituals from their own faith perspective. The audience will be invited to ask questions and share their experiences during this interactive session.
Child Bereavement UK’s conferences always include the voice of the families whose experience is important in helping professionals to understand and meet their needs. We will be joined by parents, Jennie & Grace, talking about their experience of bereavement support following the sad loss of their baby daughter, Ava.
