What is a Death Cafe?

Death Cafes are a place to come together and talk about death in a relaxed, safe, social cafe environment (thus they have a very different feeling to a formal workshop).

The objective of Death Cafe is, "to increase awareness of the reality of death, so we can enjoy feeling more fully alive". The conversations are always new and fresh. Each time we meet, the changing mix of people ensures that you can come to any number of events and be guaranteed a vibrantly new and fresh experience each time.

The concept was developed by Jon Underwood and Sue Barsky Reid, and you can find out more about death cafes at

Death cafes are free to attend and there's no need to book. Please note that you will need to arrive promptly for a 2pm start.

May 17, 2pm - 4pm

Price: Free, no need to book
