Bereavement Support for Older LGBT+ People
Wed 13 November, 1-5pm

People identifying as LGBT+ face additional problems when grieving, often with different care needs, resulting in heightened or prolonged bereavement. This half-day course considers the provision of bereavement support to older LGBT+ people experiencing an uncertain future, without their partner and with little family support. It explores new models of bereavement support in the light of the LGBT+ experience, sharing practical resources and sources of support for health and social care professionals.

Opening Doors London is the largest UK provider of services and support to older LGBT+ people and our Skills for Care-endorsed training is informed by the lived experience of older lesbians, gay men, bisexuals and trans people, as well as the latest research. All ODL’s courses are delivered by LGBT+ people over 50.

Registration fee: £48.56
