Sheila was a wonderful friend.she worked tirelessly as a nurse until the age of 72 !
As a nurse she was accustomed to dealing with death and dying but worried that she would develop Alzheimers disease. sadly this became the case.despite this, she never lost her fighting spirit and i will miss her dearly.i have written a poem in her honor which has helped me deal with her lose.maybe it will be a comfort to others.
in your heart you remembered
the children you rocked in your arms,
you remembered the love
for the man by your side,
you remembered every one you nurtured to health,
and every soul you cried for
as they slipped from this life.
you remembered to cherish each friend you embraced,
and every colleague you inspired
to be their very best.
you remembered compassion,
you remembered good grace,
one day we will be reunited
and you will remember my face.
