Hearing about others' experiences can be helpful when dealing with death and bereavement. Do you have a personal experience that you'd feel comfortable sharing with the campaign? If so, let us know...
Recently, my dearest first cousin died in Canada from a massive heart attack. Although his death was untimely, the family decided to celebrate his life instead of mourning his death. This gave us the opportunity to hear about the life he had lived and learn how much of an impression he had made in so many people’s lives.
We all know any of us could die at any moment and, when it happens, we learn to accept it even though it saddens us. Death is certain at whatever age we are, and the more we learn to take it as part of life experience, the easier it is to accept.
The Dying Matters Coalition is led by the National Council for Palliative Care,
the umbrella charity for end of life care in England, Wales and Northern Ireland.
