Participants sought for photography project

We're running a photography project to tie-in with this year’s Dying Matters Awareness Week, from 14-20 May 2012. The theme of both Awareness Week and the photography project is Small Actions, Big Difference.

It explores the small things that make a big difference to someone’s quality of life, whether they are bereaved, nearing the end of life or caring for someone who is dying.

A small action may be anything from walking the dog to asking someone about their end of life wishes.

Taking part

Experienced photographer Nadia Bettega (whose photos are featured on this page) will be taking photographs of the small things that make a big difference. A selection of her photographs will form part of an exhibition to be held during Dying Matters Awareness Week.

Anyone with an example of something small that makes, or has made, a big difference to the end of someone's life, is invited to take part.

Participants will work closely with Nadia. Her website gives a good idea of her approach, which is very much based on participation.

A selection of the photographs will form part of an exhibition launched during Dying Matters Awareness Week. All participants will be invited to attend. The photographs will also be available for participants to use to illustrate and promote their own work in the future.

This is not a competition, but an opportunity to work alongside Nadia Bettega to capture and convey your experiences.
