Dying Matters in Lewisham
NCPC and Dying Matters have joined forces with the Lewisham Pensioners' Forum and Age Concern, Lewisham to see if we can help people in the borough to talk and plan for the end of their lives. Anyone can now drop into Age Concern and pick up Dying Matters information anytime or can book an appointment with Suzanne on a Thursday between 10am and 1pm to discuss anything from wills and funerals to organ donation and care plans.
The Lewisham Pensioners' Forum is promoting the service throughout its network of more than 1,300 pensioners as well as to the general public in shopping centres and key events in Lewisham such as People’s Day.
By pooling our skills and resources we hope we’ll be more effective in partnership than working alone. We’ll be evaluating the service over the coming months to ensure it is meeting the needs of the local community.
