Dying Matters has responded to the Royal London report on funeral debt

Insurance company Royal London has released its annual National Funeral Cost Index. The report found that funeral debt has reached £147 million, and that the average cost of a funeral in Britain has reached £3,675.
Claire Henry, CEO of Dying Matters, said This shows the importance of planning ahead, so that we know what we want for our own funeral and also an idea of what it will cost. Too many of us still don’t make plans, and leave our loved ones scrambling to arrange a funeral without guidance or the funds to pay for it.”This shows the importance of planning ahead, so that we know what we want for our own funeral and also an idea of what it will cost.
