Every week we really want your views on a topical issue relating to death, dying and bereavement. This week, new figures out show that around three million carers spend more than £1,200 of their own money every year looking after an elderly loved-one. The YouGov study also found 24% of those polled regularly care for an older relative or friend; and for more than six million people this can be for up to seven hours a week. Should elderly care be funded by families - or the state?
